The 2025 Atlas is powered by a peppy 2.0-liter TSI® four-cylinder engine (269 horsepower, 273 pound-feet of torque) that's paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. VW 4MOTION® all-wheel drive is optional in SE and SE with Technology trims and standard in higher tiers. When properly equipped, the VW Atlas can tow up to 5,000 pounds.
Interior and Utility
The VW Atlas has an inviting cabin with cozy seats, quality materials, and ample headroom and legroom for passengers in all three rows. The cargo area reserves 20.6 cubic feet to carry your gear and groceries, expanding to 55.5 cubic feet with the third row folded. When your Holland or Allendale adventures require more carrying capacity, you can fold the rear seats for 96.8 cubic feet.
